The connection between Mon Laferte and her audience was visible before she even took the stage. Throughout the venue, fans arrived in bridal-inspired outfits, complete with wedding veils, lace, and dramatic dresses. The look reflected the bridal aesthetic surrounding her Femme Fatale era, making the crowd feel like an extension of the production before the performance even began.
“Tonight You Belong to Me,” originally performed by Patience & Prudence, introduced the show before Laferte appeared for the first of four acts. From the moment she took the stage for “Mi Hombre,” her presence commanded the room.
Laferte was supported by a live band that played an important role in creating the energy of the evening. Nearly every song felt like it could have been the opener. Within the first few notes of a familiar melody, fans erupted with recognition, and remarkably, that reaction rarely diminished as the night progressed.
