Stuttgart was honored to host Germany’s only 10th anniversary of Disobedient show on Stick To Your Guns’ European 2026 tour with Terror and Deez Nuts.
Stuttgart’s hardcore scene continues to thrive in 2026. Following recent appearances by Lionheart, Madball, Wisdom in Chains, and Agnostic Front, another sold-out night at Im Wizemann proved once again that the city’s appetite for hardcore is stronger than ever.
The long-sold-out show took place on a hot evening, with openers Deez Nuts, a hip-hop hardcore band that started in Melbourne, Australia. Overwhelming demand prompted organizers to move the show to the larger hall at Im Wizemann, which promptly sold out as well. Deez Nuts singer JJ Peters is good at getting a crowd hyped up, whether they are playing a 1300-capacity room or a small 100-person venue, like when they played in Heilbronn last year. The vibe and enthusiasm never faltered. They opened with “ICU” from their 2025 album Saudade.
The crowd embraced every minute of it, and JJ, alongside Matt Rogers, Pablo Viveros, and Junkyard Jesse, had no trouble keeping them hyped up. At one point in the set, they gave the microphone to the crowd for the song “Stay True.” It was a truly memorable experience for those who got to sing for them on this track. They ended the set with “DTDFL4EVA.”
Following such a high-energy opening set is never easy, but for a band like Terror, they had no issues keeping that same level of enthusiasm. Terror has earned their status as hardcore royalty and remain one of the most respected bands in the scene. They formed in 2002 and have had the same core lineup since 2017, with vocalist Scott Vogel and drummer Nick Jett being the only original members. Over the years, they have added guitarist Martin Stewart, followed by guitarist Jordan Posner, and bassist Chris Linkovich. For this tour, however, Martin was away, so Chris played guitar.
The crowd exploded right away when they started the set with “Pain into Power.” With lyrics like “Terror crew tried and true,” it brings out that fiery spirit of a hardcore show. As always with a Terror show, there were mosh pits and crowd surfers everywhere. At one point, Scott reminded everyone that “These [security] guys are our friends. Come up here!” which immediately triggered another flood of crowd surfers.
Towards the end of the set, Scott took a moment to mention that he loved that the show brought together people from all walks of life. He told the crowd, “We’re all different; that is what makes this beautiful,” and reminded the audience to be thankful for what they had built together and that they had found each other. Before going into “Lowest of the Low,” they asked for 50 more people to cross the barricade before the end of the set, a goal that was easily reached in a few minutes. They ended the set with the powerful “Keepers of the Faith,” which always makes the crowd push through like they haven’t been moshing for the last 45 minutes.
To close out the night was the headliner Stick To Your Guns, a band that introduced many fans to the hardcore scene. Their blend of hardcore and metalcore has helped define the band’s sound for over two decades. The band has remained stable, considering they have been around for 23 years. The current lineup has been the same since 2022, with Jesse Barnett on vocals, Josh James and Chris Rawson on guitar, Andrew Rose on bass, and Adam Galindo on drums.
As the crowd waited, the house music was playing classic 1980s sing-along hits that had much of the room singing before the band even took the stage. When they came out onto the stage, they kicked off with the first track from Disobedient, “It Starts With Me.” “What Choice Did You Give Us?” and “Nobody,” which are very much fan favourites, pushed the energy even higher. The crowd surfers were coming in as fast as the large group of security guards could catch them. They took a quick breather to reminisce about how it is hard to believe it has been 10 years since Disobedient came out.
By the time they performed “The War Inside,” the crowd had found a third wind of the night. Pushing through, they went wild as no one knew if the end of the album was the end of the set. For the album’s closing track, “Left You Behind,” the rest of the band exited the stage, leaving Jesse alone with an acoustic guitar. The performance delivered one of the evening’s most meaningful and intimate moments as the crowd sang every word back to him.
As many had hoped, the band came back out on the stage for a six-song encore, starting with “Amber.” During “Invisible Rain,” Jesse asked the crowd to split the floor in half for a wall of death before the breakdown. The wall of death worked perfectly, and everyone walked away smiling. Before the final song, Jesse told the crowd to give him “everything you’ve got left, everything you’ve got left belongs to me!,” before launching into “Against Them All.” With that, the night came to an end, and some lucky fans got to head home with an exclusive “Proud to Be Nobody” shirt, available only at this anniversary show.
