Joe Perry, who is known for being an integral part to Aerosmith, has released the new single and video ahead of his upcoming US tour. The 10-date tour kicks off on November 30 where he will be joined by fellow Aerosmith bandmate Brad Whitford and Extreme’s Gary Cherone.
“Quake’ which features Cherone on vocals, is taken from the soon-to-be-released vinyl-only version of Perry’s Switzerland Manifesto. The video was directed by Perry’s son Roman and you can see it for yourself here, but be prepared to have the catchy tune stuck in your head for the rest of the day.
Sweetzerland Manifesto is Perry’s sixth solo album, with all ten tracks either written or co-written by Joe. The album features several guests appearances such as Robin Zander and David Johansen who both provided vocals, as well as Johnny Depp who played the drums on “Eve of Destruction” which features Perry on vocals.
The upcoming tour will include songs from the recent solo album, along with rarely played Aerosmith classic from their early records such as Toys In The Attic, Get Your Wind, and Rocks. With the tour just around the corner, be sure to grab your tickets while you can as this will be one you don’t want to miss.
