Cannibal Corpse at The Paramount in Huntington, NY

Cannibal Corpse brings their North American 2025 Tour to The Paramount with support from Virginia’s thrashers Municipal Waste, along with Full Of Hell and Fulci.

A brisk night in New York had the the metal heads crawling out to The Paramount on Long Island for a brutal night of crucial chaos to catch the pioneers of death metal, the legendary Cannibal Corpse, and they did not disappoint.

Fulci from Milan, Italy, kicked off the night with their fierce style of death metal with elements of horror. They are very inspired by Italian director Lucio Fulci, hence the name. As their brutal riffs reverberated through the room, they got the pit moving and the heads started banging. They recently dropped their fifth studio album Duck Face Killings in August 2024. This banger is definitely heavy and brutal, so be sure to grab a copy. Don’t sleep on this one. Go check them out if they swing through your area. You will not regret it.

Full Of Hell took to the stage with their powerful riffs and grinding vocals of Dylan Walker, as they absolutely crushed their set. The high energy was felt throughout the building as Dylan was an unstoppable force as he prowled all over the stage, ripping through song after song. The crowd did not stop moving throughout their set, but when they finally did, they were just left to stand there in awe.

The band’s brief, explosive songs leave you limited room to catch your breath as vocalist Dylan Walker often incorporates samples and synthesizers with his guttural vocals, which bring their distinct ferocious sound and unhinged energy to every show. They bring death metal to a whole other level. Be sure to check out their most recent album, which came out last year, titled Coagulated Bliss.

Richmond, Virginia thrash metal legends Municipal Waste brought their power to The Paramount, kicking it all off with the classic banger “Garbage Stomp,” which had the crowd ready for a killer high-energy set. Frontman Tony Foresta always brings the chaos as he gets the fans hyped for that full-on thrash. As the pit opens, they pound through a vigorous collection of their archives from the past to the most recent.

Municipal Waste has some of the best chemistry as a band, as far as the way they interact with each other and their overall stage presence. It seems that no matter what goes on, when it’s time to throw down on stage, that’s exactly what they do, and it shows every single time.

After a crushing set, Tony mentioned the loss of his good friend Thomas Lindberg of Swedish death metal band At The Gates, and dedicated the last song of the night to him. Tony said to the crowd, “I want Tom to see this pit from the heavens, so open this f**king pit up” and that’s exactly what happened when they busted into their classic “Born To Party.” It was pure insanity as the pit was going hard, the whole place was moving, and there’s no doubt that Tom was looking down with a huge smile, and that’s what it’s all about.

Cannibal Corpse, the pioneers of death metal, brought a head-splitting set to close out the night at The Paramount, diving right into “Blood Blind” from their 2023 release Chaos Horrific. This had the whole place headbanging, with pits exploding from the front to back. The sharp, cutting guitar riffs of Erik Rutan and Rob Barret ripped through the nearly sold-out Paramount as the legends of death metal blew the roof off.

Cannibal Corpse are known for their heavy style and brutal lyrics, as well as the high energy they bring, while blazing through many deep cuts from their arsenal, which includes 16 full-length studio albums. They are a band that rarely has any mainstream airplay but still maintains a massive following all these years later.

Corpsegrinder wasted no time showing the true craft of death metal and how it’s done as the band unleashed a no frills barrage of brutality that was just relentless. Their set was an onslaught that covered several albums from Violence Unimagined, Global Evisceration, and others.
