Alter Bridge Release Live Music Video for “Words Darker Than Their Wings”

Following the announcement of releasing Live At The Albert Hall, the band release a new video.

Back in October 2017, Alter Bridge performed two sold-out shows at London’s iconic Royal Albert Hall backed by the 52-piece Parallax Orchestra. The shows were recorded and are being released on September 7th by Napalm Records on vinyl, CD, Blu-Ray and DVD.

The latest live music video released from these shows is “Words Darker Than Their Wings” taken from the band’s 2010 ABIII and until that point, had never been performed live. This song was the first time that Myles Kennedy and Mark Tremonti shared lead vocals on a song.

“’Words Darker Than Their Wings’ was a song that we never played before ever and its been one of our favorites, especially me and Scott Phillips. That’s been one of our top 3 Alter Bridge songs since we wrote it and its just one of those songs that we have been trying and trying and trying to play live and Myles is always kind of pushing back about it and finally, you know with this orchestra he [Myles] said this is the perfect time to do it. We did and it was the biggest reaction of both nights,” explains Mark Tremonti.

Live At The Royal Albert Hall features 21 songs that feature some of Alter Bridge’s biggest hits, fan favorites and a few rarities. The songs are performed with unique arrangements with the Parallax Orchestra performing alongside the band.

You can pre-order the Blu-Ray, DVD, CD and vinyl here as well as on Alter Bridge’s website. There are also unique bundles available with exclusive content. A portion of the proceed will go to the Future Song Foundation, an organization that Myles Kennedy has a close involvement with.
