Exclusive Premiere: City Of Sound Release Video For “Odyssey”

City of Sound are about to release their debut album, and Loud Hailer have the exclusive premiere for their music video for “Odyssey.”

Let us introduce you to City of Sound, an indie alternative rock three-piece from North Hollywood, CA. They are a 100% independent and self-funded band and today Loud Hailer has the exclusive premiere to the video for their new single, “Odyssey.”  It is the lead single from their debut full-length album, Silent Empire. The band is made up of Jordan Wright (vocals), Andrew Leigh (guitar) and Lacey Nova (violin).

“We knew we had to find a way to make a music video, so we grabbed a couple friends who had experience in production and found a studio to shoot in. Everyone was awesome on the set. We wanted to tell a narrative even though we didn’t have a huge budget. It was so fun – we got to watch Lacey fall 1000 times for the slo-mo shot. It was a long day, but we never got sick of it.  After everything we’ve been through together, being able to pull a music video off was a dream of mine, and there was nothing like watching it come to be,” said Jordan Wright.

Silent Empire centers around the journey of the central character, Empire, and her journey to become something greater. “Odyssey” is the beginning of this story, with her world being destroyed and she is left with nothing. Thus, marks the beginning of her journey she has resisted for so long.

Whilst this is City of Sound’s first album, they are no strangers on the circuit who are building a loyal following. They have recently had a string of sold-out shows in Los Angeles and are garnering interest along both the west and east coasts.

City of Sound are currently a self-funded operation, allowing them full say and control over their sound and direction, with Jordan wearing many hats within the group, including spokesperson, writer, producer, and arranger. The concept of the band stems from ideas he had before people within the music industry tried to mold his sound into their vision. Taking a step back, he decided to do it his way, and that is when Andrew and Lacey joined the band.

Spreading a message of “love over fear,” this is only the beginning for this three-piece and we are excited to see where their journey takes them.
